Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris is reportedly navigating a divorce from his wife, Bridget Norris, after 25 years of marriage. The couple, who share five children, have been separated since January 2025, according to court documents filed in California.

Bridget Norris filed for divorce on February 14, 2025, according to records from the Riverside County Superior Court in California reviewed on November 4. Although the filing took place more than a year ago, the case remains ongoing, with no final resolution reported so far.

According to Bridget’s divorce petition, the couple officially married on October 27, 2001. She listed January 15, 2025, as their date of separation, marking the end of their relationship after more than two decades together.

In her filing, Bridget requested joint legal and physical custody of their children. She also asked the court to award her spousal support as part of the divorce proceedings. The couple share five children, including two minors, son Dean Vincent Norris and daughter Zoe Norris.

Their daughter Zoe has also begun pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Her acting journey gained momentum this year after she secured roles in two independent films. Meanwhile, the family’s private life has largely remained out of the public spotlight, with Dean maintaining a relatively low profile outside his professional commitments.

Dean Norris Built A Successful Career In Hollywood To Support His Family

Dean Norris is widely recognised for portraying DEA agent Hank Schrader in the acclaimed television series Breaking Bad and its spin-off, Better Call Saul. His performance as the determined law enforcement officer made him a familiar face among television audiences and helped establish his reputation in Hollywood.

Following the conclusion of the Breaking Bad franchise, Dean Norris continued to build an extensive acting career across television and film. He appeared in all three seasons of CBS’s science-fiction drama Under the Dome, taking on another prominent television role. He also portrayed Air Force Officer Colonel Richard Williams in the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory, later reprising the character in its spin-off, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.

Beyond those projects, Dean Norris was a series regular on TNT’s comedy-drama Claws, starring Niecy Nash, and the CBS sitcom United States of Al. His consistent presence across different television genres has allowed him to maintain a steady career, with roles often involving authoritative and law-enforcement characters.

In previous interviews, Dean Norris openly discussed the types of roles he frequently received and his approach to maintaining a successful career in the entertainment industry. He acknowledged that many of his characters were tough, authoritative figures, particularly police officers and other law-and-order professionals. However, he explained that he did not view being associated with a particular character type as a major concern, especially when those opportunities provided financial stability.

“I never had a month or so go by where I haven’t had a job, but you always worry that someone will turn off the tap,” Norris said while discussing the uncertainties of working as an actor.

He further explained that his primary focus was earning a living through acting rather than pursuing a particular image or limiting himself to specific types of characters. “The way I look at it, I’m a guy who acts to live. You can always have a job if you can play shoot-’em-up stuff. If playing cops pays the bills, that’s what I need to do to support my family,” he added.

Despite his long-standing success in Hollywood, Dean Norris has generally kept his personal and family life away from public attention. The divorce filing now brings attention to a previously private chapter of his life, although neither the actor nor Bridget has been reported as publicly commenting on the proceedings.

The divorce case remains open as of November 4, with a hearing concerning a change in Dean Norris’ legal counsel scheduled for January. Further details about the proceedings, including any decisions regarding custody and spousal support, have not been reported.
